Gallipoli is a peninsula bordered by the Aegean Sea and the Dardanelles, which is the Hellespont of the ancient world. It was the scene of one of the bloodiest battles of World War I. 500,000 Allied and Turkish soldiers died on the battlefield. There are three museums and several cemeteries and monuments. We have posted three tours of Gallipoli to give you an idea of the possibilities. Several more are available.
